Magus is also known as Prince Janus of the kingdom of Zeal. As a boy he was thrown into a time gate by the evil Lavos and was raised by Ozzie the supreme commander of the Mystic Army. A Magus control powerful magic and thus is considered by many to be the most powerful magic user in the group. I on the other hand consider Crono and Lucca to be the most powerful because of their Luminaire and Flare techs. Magus weapon of choice is the Sythe.
